We also offer the same list of specialized procedures for equines as listed above including ultrasonography for pregnancy detection and radiology for injured animals.
Camelids: Llamas and Alpacas: We see pet camelids as well as fiber-producing animals and broodstock.
Wellness exams include routine hoof care, annual vaccinations for Rabies, Clostridium C & D (over-eating disease), Tetanus. Includes worming and boosters for vitamin E and selenium to prevent white muscle disease. Exams include vaccinations for rhinopneumonitis for camelids housed with equines. We evaluate body scores annually as obesity is such a problem in these animals.
Sickness exams emergency coverage includes administration of intravenous fluids, treatment for meningeal worm, treatment for choke, heat stroke, overeating disease, polioencephalomalacia, listeriosis, and “failure to thrive” suyndrome.
We also do surgery routine surgical castrations, fighting teeth trimming, growth removal and microchip insertion.
